Any recommendations for good places to eat near your college or in Iowa?

Fighting Burrito
Fighting Burrito a small chain restaurant that exists in the mid west. There is a location directly adjacent to the Iowa State campus. In my opinion, this is one of the best places to get a burrito, in Ames, or anywhere. What I find particularly enjoyable about this place is that you assemble your own burrito bit by bit. You start with a tortilla of your choice, then you have a choice of white or wild rice, black or white beans, a litany of salsas and cheese, various vegetables, and no fewer than 15 different kinds of hot sauce. In addition to having awesome burritos, this place also has a number of amazing home baked desserts. From massive brownies and cookies, to football sized rice krispie treats, pretty much all of their desserts are great. If not Fight Burrito, then I would recommend Jimmy John's. In fact, the two are only 2 doors apart in my town. Jimmy John's is a bit more commonly known, and operates on a similar principle. The make your sandwich in front of you, and tailor it to your liking. Having worked there for several years, I can testify that all of their ingredients are awesome, and they use awesome bread.

foods around UST

A place to eat? My college has a lot of that. With more than 20,000 students in one campus, there should really be a lot pf places to eat. My university have a lot of fast food chains inside the campus. All fast food chains like KFC and MCdonalds are located at the second floor of our carpark. Yes their food is delicious as alyways, but of course it is always full. Seats are always occupied. You are lucky if you get inside and you get seated right away. So personally, I prefer not to eat on these fastfood chains, aside from being always occupied, their food is not that healthy and it is a bit expensive. I usually eat at Dapitan St., where you can find almost all types of food. Burger joints, fish balls, milk tea, fruit shake, steak and other viands you may like. At a very low price! You can actually eat a meal with a drink for just 1$ to 1.50$. Cheap right? and yes, the food is so delicious and you don't have to queue for a long time. Another great place to eat is at P noval st., where you can find lots of food choices, for a much cheaper price! I eat at Rap Rap's and I can eat a rice meal + soup for only .60$! Well of course you have to trade off the ambiance. So there, if you'll be studying at UST, I hope I helped!
